Originally a three horse operation, our team has steadily expanded along with our rider base. Though we have grown over the years, one thing remains the same: Our passion is welcoming and guiding others through our world with horses.

Happy on Hooves is home to much more than just horses. Emus, goats, chickens, turkeys, and peafowl roam freely in the pastures of our ranch.
During your visit with us, don't be surprised if you are greeted by something with feathers, horns, or webbed feet!

Peacocks and peahens, otherwise grouped as "peafowl", live and roam in 'clusters' on our ranch. Peacocks (males) love to show off their beautiful train of feathers during the summer. They make a range of noises, most notably their shrill 'screaming' mating call. Peafowl can fly remarkably well and have been known to sleep high atop the buildings of our ranch at night.

The Emus on our ranch were incubated, hatched, and hand-raised. Contrary to their intimidating appearance, they are sociable, gentle, and quite interesting! During the summer, they make a load noise similar to a drum using a pocket in their windpipe. They can only travel forwards, not backwards, and can run up to 50 mph!
